Our Philosophy

The Michael P. Mulvey Memorial Scholarship foundation strongly believes that higher education is the key to unlocking a world of opportunity. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student has the potential to achieve greatness, and we are committed to doing our small part in helping them reach their goals and aspirations.

Our History

Founded in 2024, the Michael P. Mulvey Memorial Scholarship has established a goal to assist Newton Community High School Seniors with their higher education expenses. Although Mike did not have the opportunity to graduate from college he valued education and insisted that his children excel in their higher learning opportunities.

Our Commitment

Mike loved Jasper County and its residents, spending his whole life in Newton with the exception of the years he served his country in the military. He valued hard work and the importance of education and was passionate about public service and supporting his community when and where he could. We honor his memory serving the community he loved
